What does the Protestant Reformation have to do with Hollandaise Sauce?

Just was curious to the origins of this mother sauce since it is widely known to be a part of the French “mother sauces”. Though I may be poor in geography at times, the Holland in hollandaise always stood out to me and so it got me thinking what could be the Dutch and French connection other than geographical proximity. Turns out historical connections may play a huge factor.
